Many consider Seattle one of the country’s top foodie destinations and a culinary melting pot of some of the best dining in the world. From trendy restaurants to iconic landmarks, Seattle offers a little something for everyone’s taste buds.

On my most recent trip to Seattle, I had the opportunity to dine at Collections Café. Located right inside of the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum, Collections Café is a perfect spot for a quick bite to eat or lunch-time meal. The food was delicious and the service was speedy, but I was most impressed by the decorations. Chihuly’s own eclectic collection of vintage objects and small knick-knacks are accented throughout the restaurant – all organized by theme.
Established in 2007, How to Cook a Wolf has quickly become a favorite Seattle restaurant. Offering both indoor and patio dining, the cozy establishment packs a powerful punch in its famous menu. Celebrity Chef Ethan Stowell uses simple ingredients to transform his entrees into culinary splendor. While you’re there, be sure to take advantage of the restaurant’s popular happy hour specials.
It would be a shame to visit Seattle and not save time to explore the city’s famous Pike Place Market. Watch out, though, because you might have a fish thrown at you! Lined with brilliant bouquets of fresh flowers, souvenirs, soap samplings and more, the popular public market is also home to more than 30 restaurants offering an array of delectable options for the tourist and local alike.
The Butcher & The Baker in Seattle is beloved for its Artisan sandwiches, Northwest grown meats, hand crafted cheesecakes, sweets & savories, and a new brunch menu every weekend. As Yelp user Matt B. says, “Winner Winner Chicken Fritter!! The food, service, ambiance, and French Press Coffee at the Butcher and the Baker are all 5 Star Winners!”
Okay, so Starbucks isn’t exactly known for its mouth-watering cuisine, but our list would not be complete without the addition of this historic original landmark and the birthplace of the country’s most beloved coffee house. Located on the corner of 1st and Pike, the store’s favorable geographic location near Seattle’s Pike Place Market makes it a great stop for a photo op… or Frappuccino.
I stumbled upon Ray’s Boathouse when my mom suggested we make dinner reservations at one of Seattle’s many waterfront-dining locals. Ray’s didn’t disappoint! The restaurant greeted us with valet parking, phenomenal service and stunning panoramic views overlooking the Puget Sound. Don’t get too full, because you will surely want to save room for dessert!
