Wine Tasting in Napa
Who doesn’t love a little wine tasting adventure? Well, California is America’s wine hot spot for a reason. In Napa Valley, you can find some of the best tasting wines in the world. If you want to park and explore, check out the Napa Valley Wine Train that allows you to explore a few spots without having to worry about having a designated driver.
Travel the New England Coastline
For a bunch of very small states, you can see a lot on a trip like this. All you need to do is follow Interstate 95 and you can go from New York along the Connecticut coast, stop in Newport, Rhode Island, hit up Cape Cod, and then finish your adventure at Acadia National Park in Maine. It would make for a great week-long adventure, perfect for the summer.
National Park Road Trip in Utah
If you head West, you can find a lot of National Parks grouped in a way that can make the perfect dream summer road trip. If you set aside 10-14 days, you can hit up Utah’s Big Five National Parks; Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion. This would truly be the trip of a lifetime.
Explore the Great River Road
The Great River Road travels across 10 states alongside the Mississippi River. It goes from Minnesota to Louisiana. If you want to get a great taste of Americana and follow the path of the Mighty Mississippi, you won’t find a better way to do it than this road trip.
Drive the Pacific Coast Highway
Some of the most beautiful coastal land in America is right along California’s Pacific Coast Highway. This 650-mile trip starts south of Los Angeles and goes along the coast into Northern California. Along the way, you can visit LA, Monterey, and San Francisco, in addition to numerous parks too.
The Florida Keys
For a short but beautiful road trip that’s perfect for the summer weather, hop in your car in Miami and head south. You can easily get to Key West in about four hours or so, but feel free to pull over at various points and explore some of the other lesser-known islands too. And bring your appetite for plenty of fresh seafood.
There are plenty of ways to make your own adventure this summer, but these are a few of our must-see spots across the country.
