About the Festival
In recent years, downtown Providence has undergone revitalization, creating a bustling city with a small-town feel and making use of the expansive riverfront. There is perhaps no better example of this artistic downtown renewal than the art installation WaterFire event. Residents and visitors gather to experience the artisan market, music, live entertainment and a sense of community as thousands find a spot around the waterways to watch over 80 braziers burst into light.
