Experience the Bay and Baseball for the World Series
Giants fever has swept the Bay Area once again, as the San Francisco Giants are back in another World Series, making them one of the most dominate National League Baseball teams of the past few years.
Now, we all know that San Francisco is a pretty epic American city, so there are plenty of things to do to keep you busy during those World Series off days.
San Francisco is a fun city to visit and is absolutely beautiful in October, when the weather gets cool and that famous fog rolls over the bay.

You can’t not go to SF without taking a ride on one of the famous historic cable cars. These are a great way to get a feel of the city without exerting too much energy on some of those steep hills.
Did you know you can walk across the Golden Gate Bridge? Yup, it’s true! Not only will it be an experience to remember, but you can get absolutely unbeatable views of the city.
Sure it’s touristy, but can you really spend time in San Francisco without taking time out to visit Alcatraz? The most notorious of all American prisons is on a rocky island in the middle of the bay and offers tours during the day, as well as creepy night tours.
Eat
Food has to be a major component of any trip to San Francisco, and they not only have a ton of eating options, but have an amazing array of really delicious food choices. Start out with Mexican by heading to La Taqueria in the Mission District.
San Francisco has the biggest Chinatown in America, so for anyone who loves dumplings and dim sum, this has to be a stop on your food tour. House of Nanking has been a local favorite for years.

Unfortunately, you’ll be hard pressed to find any extra Giant’s tickets as the World Series rolls on, but there are plenty of other ways to have fun when in San Francisco. One fan favorite is Urban Putt, indoor miniature golf that locals love.
Musee Mecanique is a hybrid museum and old fashioned arcade that has over 200 coin operated games dating back well over 100 years old. Located right on Fisherman’s Wharf it’s a great way to get a taste of old San Francisco.
These are just a handful of the adventures you can have during your visit in San Francisco. Come for the baseball, but stay for the fun in this city on the bay.
